Volunteer: Will County Children's Advocacy Centerhttps://willcountycac.org/wishlist/ Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow established the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center as a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization in 1995 to provide critical services to children who are victims of sexual abuse and severe physical abuse, and their non-offending family members. We accept cash, check, or credit card donations to help fund the day-to-day operations. Below is a wish list of in-kind items (must be new and unopened) that donors may provide. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Client & Family Needs Individually wrapped, multi-packaged snacks: chips, cookies, crackers, applesauce/fruit cups, fruit snacks Canned soda, bottled water or fruit juice boxes K-Cups (regular, decaf, and hot chocolate) Coloring & activity books, crayons, washable markers Barbie dolls, baby dolls Toy cars or trucks (i.e. Hot Wheels) Books, magazines (English & Spanish) Board games Stuffed animals/Beanie Babies Action figures Backpacks, duffle bags Teen-age items: sports-themed items, small handheld electronic games, journals, stationary sets, nail polish, cosmetic sets, jewelry making/bead/craft sets, puzzles Gift cards: restaurant, grocery & gasolineService & Program Needs Toys, bedding and supplies for our therapy and facility dogs that provide comfort to children/families. JUNE-JULY: Toys from the wish list to help fill our gift closet, personal hygiene “goodie bags” (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb/brush) JULY- SEPTEMBER: School supplies to help kids go back to school and be successful.
