Who We Are

In 2003, Mrs. Khan joined together a group of 12 concerned citizens to form Bridges to a New Day, nfp. The concept of the agency was to fill in missing gaps in the community mental health system with a focus on preventing long term mental health issues. We were incorporated in 2004 and started to provide workshops throughout Will County. The consistent feedback that we obtained from these workshops was the need for affordable counseling services especially services that focused on families and children. Since that time, we have grown from serving 234 adults and children to now serving 571 people.

What We Do

Bridges to a New Day, nfp is a non-profit counseling agency. We serve children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds. Our clients are seeking to find ways to cope with life problems, while building their self-confidence and self- esteem. Today more individuals, couples, and families are entering counseling not only to receive treatment, but to improve their quality of life. We strive to empower families to interact and communicate in a healthy manner that promotes positive lifestyle choices.
