In 2003, Mrs. Khan joined together a group of 12 concerned citizens to form Bridges to a New Day, nfp. The concept of the agency was to fill in missing gaps in the community mental health system with a focus on preventing long term mental health issues. We were incorporated in 2004 and started to provide workshops throughout Will County. The consistent feedback that we obtained from these workshops was the need for affordable counseling services especially services that focused on families and children. Since that time, we have grown from serving 234 adults and children to now serving 571 people.
