Who We Are

Harvey Brooks Motivation & Development Foundation is a 501c3 tax exempt organization incorporated in the state of Illinois in 1998. It was formed by grassroots professionals within All Nations Church of God In Christ in Joliet, Illinois. It was established as a community outreach organization to address the needs of area youth, adults , and families in its surrounding low-income, distressed community. HBF provides motivation, development, and social service programs that focus on Family, education, financial literacy, economic development, crime prevention and rehabilitation.

What We Do

The Foundation provides programs and services for youth and families that promote life-skill development, character building, leadership/mentoring, and education scholastic achievement through motivation, enrichment, recreational, and health/wellness/basic needs services. The Foundation provides After-school tutoring and recreation activities for ages 5 -18; Youth Bridges: Summer Employment program for ages 16-21; Summer Reading & Enrichment Camp; Project Impact -Supervised court-ordered community service for youth and young adults; House of Bethesda Ex-offender re-entry Advocacy support for successful transition into the community; Life -Line Food Pantry & Clothing Closet; and Family/parenting support that contribute to healthy lifestyle, job skill training, and economic productivity; Mary Fitch Academy Bright Star (Licensed) Preschool for ages 3 -5.
